FAQs about Colon Hydrotherapy "Time and health are two precious assets that we don't recognize and appreciate
What Is Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon hydrotherapy is a safe, effective method of removing waste from the large intestine. By introducing a small amount of water into the colon, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis. This process is repeated a few times during a session. Today's sophisticated technology makes this health practice both safe and sanitary. Is A Colonic The Same As Colon Hydrotherapy?
Yes. Colon hydrotherapy is also commonly known as colon therapy, colon or colonic irrigation. What Are The Benefits Of Colon Therapy?
Why Do People Choose To Have Colon Hydrotherapy?
Many choose to receive colonics during a period of lifestyle change or as a preventive measure. Others may manifest symptoms of intestinal distress such as constipation, indigestion, diarrhea, gas or bloating, occasional nausea, mood swings; or as experienced with leaky gut or irritable bowel syndrome. Why Do People Choose To Have Colon Hydrotherapy with us?
We provide a comfortable, soothing experience (see next answer). Our therapists are highly trained and certified (more later). We use state of the art equipment from Dotol (more below). In short, your experience here cannot be surpassed. And we are convenient to much of central Colorado. We are an easy drive from Colorado Springs or from the Denver area. What Is A Colonics Session Like?
Your colonics session will be a comfortable experience. It produces no toxicity. Techniques utilized allow a small amount of water to flow slowly into the colon, gently stimulating the colon's natural peristaltic action to release softened waste. The key words here are "slowly" and "gently." Each and every step during the session will be communicated to you. The cycle of inflow and release will be repeated several times, always with your awareness and agreement to do so. Water temperature and pressure is carefully maintained and set at your level of comfort. You will never be left unattended - the therapist will be with you the entire session and may perform light abdominal massage if indicated, but always with your permission to do so. How Many Hydrotherapy Sessions Does One Need?
No less than a series of three sessions is recommended to ensure initial cleansing and hydration benefits. The additional number of sessions will vary depending on individual needs. Many people find that six sessions spread over a three week period twice a year to be highly beneficial. The body "talks" and when we listen, it will indicate to us the frequency of sessions. Ongoing internal cleansing, toning and rebuilding the colon benefit the body as a whole and is as equally important as toning and strengthening our outer body. Colon hydrotherapy is best considered an integral part of an overall wellness maintenance program. What About Sanitation And Hygiene?
Our colon hydrotherapy equipment is manufactured in compliance with strict FDA guidelines that dictate rigorous accountability. This FDA-registered device features temperature controlled water mixing and back flow prevention valves, pressure and temperature sensors, and a built-in chemical sanitizing unit and water purification and filter units. Only Disposable Single-Use rectal tubes and speculums are used. Tell me more about the equipment you use.
Are you certified? Is there a certifying body?
We are certified by I-ACT, the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapists. I-ACT heightens the awareness of the colon hydrotherapy profession, ensures continuing and progressive education in the field of colon hydrotherapy and implements professionalism beyond reproach. Their website further discusses, among other things, the profession's Code of Ethics and the Certification Procedure. Tell me About The Colon Hydrotherapy Client and Hydrotherapist Population.
